Suggested Features for SAM Animation

This page is intended for the users of SAM Animation to request/suggest new features to include in future versions of the text. A few ideas are listed, but feel free to edit this page and add others that you would like to see. If you don't mind, please put your name in parentheses next to the comment you have added.

• Keystroke for snapping images - either the spacebar or some other key function that will snap images in SAM Animation. (Anne Meyer)
• Frame editing section (Bill Church, Ben Woo)
  • Including a "Condense to Clip" feature where you could select a bunch of frames with a specific framerate and condense that into a single "Clip".
  • Additional "Clips" could be added here as either SAM products or any other Quicktime movie file
• Fix the graying out of icons - example: onion skinning - a button should not be grayed out if the feature is active. (Anne Meyer)
• When importing an image, you should be able to adjust the size/stretch of the image - as of now, the software stretches to fit and distorts some images.
• The movie does not play when you are adding audio. When you add audio, it should start playing the movie at the frame rate selected and from the location of the cursor (so that you can time audio to specific sections of the movie) (Ben Woo)
